Continental Battery Systems, a rapidly growing PE-backed company, is looking to add a detail-oriented, collaborative, and execution-focused Senior Financial Analyst to its team. The role will drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities to provide timely financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will be analytical, proactive, and eager to develop their financial skills in a fast-paced, private equity owned company.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:
Own recurring FP&A deliverables end-to-end, including reporting models and forecasts. Support monthly close and forecast cycles, including data validation and variance explanations. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial statements and variance reports to identify trends and areas of concern.

Data Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions. Utilize Excel, Tableau, and other analytical tools to create reports, dashboards, and presentations.

Performance Metrics:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in the development of metrics to measure financial performance and operational efficiency.

Ad Hoc Analysis:
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as requested by senior team members and executives.

Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional business partners to gather financial information, understand operational impacts, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (CPA, CFA, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory.

2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or a related field.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial metrics, and performance indicators.

Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis (e.g., advanced Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot). Experience with Tableau and/or SQL is not mandatory, but helpful.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex financial analysis into simple, insightful narratives (e.g., in PowerPoint).

Comfortable working with imperfect data and evolving processes in a fast-paced environment.

Strong relationship-building skills within Finance and Accounting as well as cross-functional groups; comfortable communicating with executive level.
