Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in evaluating financial performance, monitoring operational and project costs, supporting investment decisions, and providing insights to senior management to drive business growth and operational efficiency. The role involves financial planning, modelling, reporting, and cross-functional business support within a large-scale operating environment.
Core Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis

Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and long-term business planning

Analyse operational and project financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process across departments and business units

Monitor CAPEX and OPEX performance and provide actionable recommendations to optimize costs, profitability, and investment outcomes

Conduct profitability analysis, scenario modelling, and investment performance evaluations

Support strategic planning and financial decision-making processes

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, projects, and commercial departments on financial planning initiatives

Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, internal financial policies, and regulatory requirements

Support financial audits and provide required documentation and analysis

Prepare presentations and financial insights for senior leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA is required (minimum 3 years post-qualification experience)

CMA, CPA, or CFA is an added advantage
Experience Requirements

Minimum 6–8 years of experience in financial analysis or finance-related roles

Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial modelling

Experience working in large-scale or multinational organizations is preferred
Industry Knowledge

Strong understanding of the energy, oil & gas, utilities, or infrastructure sectors

Knowledge of project finance principles, CAPEX/OPEX analysis, and operational cost structures

Familiarity with IFRS and financial compliance requirements
Key Skills

Advanced financial analysis and financial modelling skills (must-have)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level)

Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
