Senior Financial Analyst – Feasibilities

Job Purpose

To provide advanced financial analysis, feasibility studies, and investment appraisals that support APSCO’s strategic decision-making. The role focuses on evaluating new business opportunities, projects, and capital investments through robust financial modeling, ensuring alignment with shareholder value creation and corporate objectives.

Responsibilities


  • Feasibility & Investment Analysis:
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new projects, expansions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including IRR, NPV, ROI, and Payback Period calculations.
  • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures from a financial perspective.
  • Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for management and board approval.


  • Financial Planning & Support:
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by integrating project feasibility outcomes.
  • Provide financial insights for strategic planning, market entry, and new product development.
  • Monitor ongoing projects against approved budgets and update forecasts accordingly.


  • Reporting & Insights:
  • Deliver clear, concise analysis to senior management highlighting risks, opportunities, and sensitivity scenarios.
  • Prepare benchmark analysis comparing APSCO’s projects against industry standards.
  • Provide recommendations to improve project profitability and cost efficiency.


  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Work closely with business units to collect and validate project assumptions.
  • Coordinate with external advisors (consultants, valuation experts, auditors) when required.
  • Support the FP&A Manager in preparing board and shareholder presentations.



Qualifications


  • Education & Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Professional qualification (CFA, CPA, or ACCA) preferred.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or related field) is an advantage.


  • Experience:
  • 5–8 years of experience in financial analysis, feasibility studies, or corporate finance.
  • Proven track record in building and presenting financial models.
  • Exposure to capital projects, M&A, or IPO readiness is an asset.


  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modeling capability.
  • Knowledge of valuation techniques (DCF, multiples, precedent transactions).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (JD Edwards or Oracle preferred).
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS reporting and local compliance.


  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
