Senior Financial Analyst -Planning & Reporting

Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible to lead the continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency in financial processes by providing accurate & timely financial reports, analyzing annual budget while ensuring compliance with rules and regulations and the preparation of external and internal financial reports in DAAM and regulatory filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
This role collaborates directly with executive management to ensure that accounting processes are conducted efficiently and accurately, and to investigate the CEO's questions regarding financial results.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare the guidelines & instructions for the period-end closing cycle.
2. Process the period-end closing cycle in an effective and timely manner including the following activities:
- Expenses, Accounts Payable & Other Creditors closing.
- Revenues, Accounts Receivable & Other debtors closing.
3. Ensure that periodic financial statements are timely prepared to share with management. 4. Perform financial statements analysis in a timely manner and build understanding of financial figures.
5. prepare annual budget with analysis & explanations based on discussion with other related departments.
6. Prepare financial slidesfor the boardmeeting and present the annual budget to the board. 7. Ensure the proper treatment for all transactions related to:
- Fixed Assets.
- Investment properties.
- Financial Instrument.
8. Support and coordinate with external auditor by providing the Audit requirements and ensure proper reconciliation and schedules are accurate as per accounting system.
9. Ensure that all the transactions are recorded and verified in a timely manner that will help with decision making and financial stability.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Job Competencies:
1. In-depth understanding of finance and accounting principles.

6. Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
7. Proficiency with accounting systems.

Experience:
Minimum 6 years of related experience.

Skills:

  • Advanced experience in using Dynamic 365 or similar ERP system.
  • High communications skills in Arabic and English including writing reports and presentation skills.
  • Objective Problem Solving.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial principles and tools (IFRS), cost accounting and management reporting.
  • Ability to communicate with other parties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Specialized certification preferred, qualified in IFRS or Diploma.
  • Specialized certifications are preferred, qualified ( CPA / ACCA/CA/CMA).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR15,000.00 per month
