Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager with over 10 years of experience managing international finance operations across Australia and Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in statutory compliance, management reporting, forecasting, intercompany accounting, multi-currency transactions, and financial governance.

Strong hands-on knowledge of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Enterprise is essential. Experience working in SaaS environments and service-based industries is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Operations

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations for Australia and Ireland entities in compliance with GAAP and Irish statutory rules.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, and financial accuracy validation.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements across entities and currencies.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Manage statutory reporting including:
  • Australia: BAS, PAYG, GST, FBT, STP, annual tax filings
  • Ireland: VAT, PAYE, PRSI, RCT, CRO filings, revenue submissions
  • Work closely with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely compliance.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory updates affecting both jurisdictions.

3. Management Reporting & Forecasting

  • Deliver monthly/quarterly/annual management reports, variance analysis, and business insights.
  • Support and lead budgeting cycles, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Build dashboards and analytical reports for leadership decision-making.

4. Intercompany & International Finance

  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, eliminations, and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Oversee multi-currency accounting, FX revaluations, and gain/loss reporting.
  • Coordinate with global teams to standardize accounting practices.

5. Software Systems & Automation

  • Extensive hands-on experience with:
  • QuickBooks Online
  • QuickBooks Desktop
  • QuickBooks Enterprise
  • Implement system improvements, integrations, and process automation for efficiency.
  • Support migration, setup, and optimization of accounting systems for multi-entity environments.

6. SaaS & Service Industry Financial Expertise

  • Understand revenue recognition models for SaaS businesses, including deferred revenue and subscription-based billing.
  • Experience with service-based industries, cost allocations, project accounting, and margin analysis.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of recurring revenue, contract renewals, and customer metrics.

7. Controls, Compliance & Audit

  • Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and audit-ready processes.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring full transparency and compliance.
  • Develop policies and SOPs for financial operations and reporting governance.

8. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with operations, HR, payroll, legal, and leadership teams.
  • Present financial insights to management and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and consultants.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial operations with multi-country exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and Irish accounting standards and statutory processes.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Enterprise is mandatory.
  • Experience in SaaS and service-based industries with exposure to revenue recognition.
  • Expertise in FP&A, management reporting, and financial modelling.
  • Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and multi-currency operations.
  • Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/financial systems integrations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Worked in multinational or shared services environments.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes for Australia and Ireland.
  • Exposure to tech or digital service sectors.
  • Experience with automation tools, API integrations, and workflow optimization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,100,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
