Senior Fit-Out Estimator (UAE Experience)

The Senior Fit-Out Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely estimates for interior fit-out projects. The role involves conducting quantity take-offs, analyzing drawings/specifications, managing supplier quotations, and supporting tender submissions while ensuring compliance with UAE market standards and pricing.

Key Responsibilities1. Estimation & Costing

• Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and budgets for interior fit-out projects (commercial, retail, residential, hospitality, etc.).
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, ID, MEP, and structural drawings.
• Develop cost summaries including materials, labor, equipment, subcontracting, and overheads.
• Analyze tender documents, specifications, and project scope to ensure full coverage of required work.

2. Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate prices with local UAE suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain and update the cost database (materials, labor rates, subcontractor pricing).
• Review and compare quotations to ensure compliance with project requirements.

3. Tender & Technical Support

• Prepare tender clarifications, technical queries, and value-engineering proposals.
• Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and client/consultant discussions.
• Assist in preparing tender submittals, cost breakdowns, and project methodologies.

4. Project & Market Knowledge

• Keep up-to-date with market rates, construction technologies, and UAE fit-out standards.
• Review project risks, constraints, and construction methodologies affecting pricing.
• Support project handover to operations team after award.

RequirementsEducation & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out estimation is mandatory.
• Experience with commercial, office, F&B, hospitality, and retail fit-out projects preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Planswift/Bluebeam or similar quantity take-off software.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, ID concepts, BOQs, and specifications.

Soft Skills
