Senior Front End Developer (Virtual, Full Time)

Job Summary:

As a Senior Front End Developer at WealthCounsel, you will have the chance to collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to build sophisticated, high-performance web interfaces. You will assist in defining the standards for our frontend ecosystem to ensure scalability and a seamless developer experience.

As a Senior Front End Developer, you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Lead the design and architecture of frontend solutions using Vue.js, focusing on modularity, reusability, and long-term maintainability.
• Build and maintain robust, data-heavy user interfaces that translate complex legal and business workflows into intuitive user experiences.
• Collaborate with designers to implement and maintain a robust Design System and component library, ensuring UI/UX consistency across all products.
• Act as the subject matter expert for frontend technologies, conducting code reviews and mentoring junior/mid-level developers in modern JavaScript/TypeScript patterns.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and maintain a fast and responsive user experience.
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the delivery of robust, secure, and thoroughly tested software applications.
• Drive the adoption of modern build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines tailored for frontend deployments.
• Play a key role in driving innovation and process improvements within the engineering team.
• Participate in agile processes like sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospective and dev discussions

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 6+ years of experience building scalable web applications with a deep focus on TypeScript, JavaScript, and core web standards (or 10+ years of equivalent professional experience).
• Proven track record of architecting complex solutions and building/consuming robust RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and lead architectural decisions using modern design patterns and best practices.
• Exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for cross-functional partners and solve high-stakes technical challenges.
• Experience with agile methodologies, version control systems, and code review processes.
• Deep proficiency in Vue 3, including the Composition API, Vue Router, and state management libraries like Vuex.
• Strong commitment to quality, with experience writing Unit, Integration, and E2E tests for the frontend.
• Experience deploying and managing frontend assets within AWS (S3, CloudFront, Amplify); AWS Developer Associate certification is required.

Preferred Skills:

• Deep experience translating Figma mockups into high-fidelity, responsive layouts using Tailwind CSS, SCSS, or CSS-in-JS.
• Proficiency in advanced Vue concepts like Render Functions, Teleport, Suspense, and custom Composables.
• Experience monitoring and improving Core Web Vitals and using browser profiling tools.
• Experience utilizing UI component libraries (Shadcn/ui).

Work Environment and Company Benefits:

This is a virtual, full-time position. You will work remotely from your home office, and occasional travel may be required for meetings, trade shows and training.

The salary range listed reflects the total on target earnings for this position (base salary plus bonus).
