Senior Full Stack Developer (Fintech)

Position Summary

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer with hands-on fintech/payments experience to build secure web applications and transaction workflows. You'll deliver a QR payment solution for Pakistan and work on banking/fintech projects including merchant onboarding, KYC/AML, reconciliation, and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Build responsive fintech web apps (React/Next preferred) and secure backend APIs (Node.js/Python)
• Design API contracts and data models for QR payments, transfers, settlements, refunds, and chargebacks
• Integrate with payment gateways and banks; implement webhooks, idempotency, and signature verification
• Implement compliance-first data handling: KYC/AML checks, RBAC, audit logs, access controls
• Design double-entry ledger models; build reconciliation pipelines and financial reporting
• Implement fraud/risk controls: anomaly detection, velocity limits, device trust, and alerting
• Collaborate with data/AI teams to productize risk insights with safety checks and fallbacks
• Deliver maintainable, well-tested code with documentation for audits and compliance reviews

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Fintech/Payments Experience: 3+ years building fintech or payment applications (gateways, wallets, or bank integrations)
• Full-Stack Experience: 6+ years full-stack development in product/startup environments
• Frontend: React.js/Next.js (preferred) or similar modern frameworks
• Backend: Node.js (Express/Nest) or Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask)
• Payments Literacy: Understanding of QR payments (EMVCo static/dynamic), reconciliation, settlement cycles, disputes/chargebacks
• APIs & Integration: REST/GraphQL, third-party integrations, webhooks, idempotency, signature/HMAC verification
• Databases: Postgres/MySQL; strong SQL; data modeling for ledgers and reconciliation
• Security/Compliance: PCI-DSS fundamentals, encryption in transit/at rest, tokenization, and audit trails
• AI Integration: Experience integrating risk scoring, anomaly detection, or fraud signals into payment workflows

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Regional Payments: Experience with Pakistan/regional payment rails (EMVCo QR, local bank APIs)
• Open Banking & Cards: Banking APIs, card acquiring, 3DS flows, deep links, device binding
• Financial Architectures: Event-driven systems (Kafka/NATS), outbox/inbox patterns, CQRS/event sourcing basics
• Financial Operations: Ledger engines, automated reconciliation, settlements, and financial reporting
• DevOps for Fintech: Docker, CI/CD, cloud security, observability (metrics/logs/traces)
• Financial Standards: ISO 8583/20022 familiarity; Pakistan regulatory knowledge (advantage)
• Risk & Compliance: Fraud detection systems, AML compliance workflows, regulatory reporting
