About the Role
We are building a next-generation Digital AI Agent, as the patient-facing layer with our healthcare platform as backbone.
We need an experienced Full-Stack Integration Engineer to create the middleware and integration work that connects our AI Agent to our healthcare platform patient data, appointments, wearables, and telehealth.
This is a remote role, collaborating with our internal team, AI vendor and health care platform specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a secure middleware layer between AI Agent and Health care Platform.
- Handle OAuth2 (User Credentials flow) for authentication, secure token lifecycle, and session management.
- Integrate AI Agent flows with healthcare use cases:
- Fetch/display labs, vitals, medications.
- Book/update/cancel appointments.
- Launch telehealth sessions.
- Insights on Wearable data.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA/GDPR and healthcare data standards.
- Build lightweight dashboards/logging for auditing and monitoring.
- Collaborate with conversation designers and clinical leads to implement patient journeys.
- Work in agile sprints, provide clear documentation, and handover to internal team post-integration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack or Backend Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript or Python (for APIs and middleware).
- Hands-on experience with OAuth2, REST APIs, JSON, JWT tokens.
- Familiarity with healthcare integrations (EHR, telehealth, wearables) a plus.
- Experience deploying on AWS / GCP / Azure with security best practices.
- Strong understanding of encryption, secure logging, and compliance.
- Excellent communication — able to work remotely with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge of WebRTC / video APIs (ex. Zoom SDK, Twilio, Doxy.me or similar).
- Experience with LLM-powered conversational interfaces.
- Familiarity with English and multilingual apps a plus.
Engagement Model
- Remote collaboration with Your Team (Project Manager, Clinical Lead, Compliance Officer).
- Coordination with AI Agent vendor support and Healthcare Platform API team.
- Flexible contract: 3–6 months initial engagement with possible extension.
