Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Developer (Node.js, NestJS, Next.js)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Developer to take ownership of backend and frontend architecture using Node.js, NestJS, and Next.js. You will design, build, and maintain scalable web applications, work independently, guide junior developers, and ensure high standards for performance, security, and code quality.

You will collaborate closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable and maintainable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Build and optimize REST APIs and integrate third-party services
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using Next.js
• Work with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
• Define and maintain API contracts between frontend and backend
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of the platform
• Review code, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers
• Participate in system architecture, debugging, and production issue resolution
• Manage deployments and support applications on Linux/Ubuntu servers
• Handle basic server tasks: Nginx, SSL, cron jobs, permissions, and logs
• Maintain documentation and version control using Git

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of professional experience with Node.js
• Strong experience with NestJS and TypeScript
• Solid experience with Next.js for frontend development
• Strong understanding of HTTP, authentication, sessions, and security
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade APIs
• Comfortable working in Linux/Ubuntu environments
• Good knowledge of Git workflows, debugging, and testing
• Ability to work independently and take technical ownership
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
