Joygame, founded in 2009 and titled Turkey's first gaming company, supports talented gaming studios both in terms of financing and knowledge. It develops and publishes many games that have achieved great success in international markets. Reaching millions of players with different products in pc, mobile and NFT game categories, Joygame aims to provide entertainment experiences to players across all continents with local content.

We are looking for a “ Senior Game Designer " for our Madbyte studio in İstanbul and needed qualifications are below.


Responsibilities:

  • Working  ( MMOFPS) on our new projects ( CO-OP TPS ).
  • Deconstruction and in-depth analysis of similar games’ mechanics, especially competitive FPS/TPS titles.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—character design, gameplay, UI/UX, art, programming—to iterate and refine game systems.
  • Implement systems and features by closely interacting with artists, programmers, and other team members.
  • Tweak, update or redesign features when needed to maintain a balanced, healthy, and fun gameplay experience.
  • Ensure the intended experience is aligned with the vision during development by working in sync with management, developers, and the art team.
  • Participate in various production pipelines to ensure all implementations follow the high-level design strategy.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of game design experience.
  • Published at least one PC game (preferably in the shooter category).
  • Experience working on at least two different game projects.
  • Passionate player of competitive FPS and CO-OP games.
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Experience with task management tools (Jira, ClickUp, Notion etc.).
  • Experience in designing complex game systems.
  • Basic understanding of programming logic.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Discipline to self-manage, self-evaluate, and provide clear documentation.
  • Sufficient proficiency in written and spoken English.


The following will be considered as a plus:

  • Proficiency in game economy tools and economic modelling tools (e.g., Machinations).
  • Knowledge of the Steam market and current trends.
  • Experience in large-scale game projects.
  • Experience working on live games.
  • Having launched a Steam game before.
