Senior General Accountant

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Accountant to manage the full accounting function within our property operations. This role suits someone confident working independently, with responsibility for day-to-day accounting, monthly reporting, budgeting and year-end processes, while ensuring strong financial control and compliance with IFRS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivables

  • Entire creditors function, from processing of accounts to allocation, posting, seeking necessary approvals and then paying the vendor.

  • Reconcile bank statement monthly

  • Produce monthly variance reports, actual vs budget

  • Project net profit until year end

  • Produce error-free accounting reports

  • Participate in preparing financial statements and work closely with audits for yearly closing and tax returns

  • Full control of project budget, maintaining accurate up to date records of all expenditure

  • Bookkeeping and maintaining general ledger

  • Full debtors function and credit controlling

  • Property Monthly closing and reporting

  • Document business and accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS

  • General awareness of KSA law and regulations

  • Assist the Senior Property Manager with all accounting tasks necessary

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of six years’ experience in accounting

  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance

  • Thorough knowledge of all accounting procedures up to Balance Sheet

  • Experience with accounting software packages

  • MS Excel skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and according to deadlines

  • Able to work unsupervised as the only accounting person within the team
