Now Hiring: Senior Surgeon – Overseas Assignment in Nauru
Work Location: Republic of Nauru

Position Overview
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Surgeon to head surgical services at our healthcare facility in Nauru. The role requires expertise in performing a wide range of surgical procedures, leading clinical teams, and ensuring patient safety and adherence to medical standards in a resource-limited environment.

Main Duties

• Carry out general and emergency surgeries with high clinical standards
• Provide leadership and guidance to surgical and perioperative staff
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior doctors and surgeons
• Uphold surgical protocols and strict infection control practices
• Work collaboratively with anesthetists, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated care
• Oversee pre-operative evaluations and post-surgical follow-ups
• Keep thorough and accurate patient records
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Support training and skills development of local healthcare personnel

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree with board certification/specialist qualification in surgery from a recognized institution
• Valid medical license (or eligibility to practice in the host country)
• At least 5–10 years of surgical experience, including leadership roles
• Strong competency in both general and emergency surgical procedures
• Proven leadership, communication, and critical decision-making skills
• Previous work in remote, rural, or resource-limited settings is highly preferred
