Senior Graphic Designer

The Role

Our Elkins-based agency is seeking a full-time Senior Graphic Designer to join our Creative Team and help bring the creative visions of the agency and its clients to life.

What we’re seeking:

A seasoned design professional who can take creative projects from concept to completion under the guidance of our Creative Director. This role requires someone with a strong eye for detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling design solutions. You’ll be comfortable using industry-standard design software, contributing to brainstorming sessions, and working closely with team members to deliver polished, high-quality projects.

A Closer Look At The Job

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you are able to conceptualize and generate complete imagery in multiple media formats while keeping the client’s needs at the forefront during production.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Participate in various design projects from concept to completion
• Create materials in creative software to generate illustrations, layouts and designs
• Design for print, web, social, and advertising for a variety of media formats
• Generating drafts of proposed designs for review and make revisions as requested
• Maintaining communication from project start to finish
• Incorporates feedback to hone skills and improve design
• Reviewing final work with Creative Director and make final revisions

Additional responsibilities may be added as the role evolves and based on the candidate’s strengths.

Skills

• A successful candidate will possess skills that include the ability to manage time, produce artwork in a variety of styles, understand the basics of font usage and design, understanding of color theory, composition and layout experience, and have excellent communication skills. Some of the skills and qualifications needs are:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud

Bonus points for:

• Familiarity or experience in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere)
• Familiarity or experience in motion graphics software (e.g. Adobe After Effects)
• Experience in Canva
• Deep understanding of design principles, composition, hierarchy, and visual storytelling
• Expertise in typography, color theory, layout, and brand consistency
• Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to translate ideas into compelling visuals
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• A keen eye for detail
• Time management and multitasking abilities
• Innovative problem-solving skills and a practiced sense of aesthetics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role
• An up-to-date portfolio of relevant work
