Senior Graphic Designer

Position Overview

Gallardo Signs is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer / Production Designer to support signage, branding, and large-format print projects from concept through production. This role works closely with the shop team to ensure designs are accurate, production-ready, and aligned with client needs.

This is a hands-on position ideal for a designer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, fabrication-driven environment and collaborating across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design signage, graphics, and branding assets for a wide range of clients
• Prepare production-ready files for vinyl, print, and fabrication
• Communicate with clients to clarify design needs, revisions, and approvals
• Coordinate with production staff to ensure designs translate accurately to final output
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Maintain organized files and job records
• Assist with mockups, proofs, and layout revisions as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator required; Photoshop strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Experience preparing files for large-format printing and vinyl production
• Ability to follow brand standards and client specifications
• Clear communication skills with both clients and internal teams
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate in a production environment

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Experience in a sign shop or print production environment
• Familiarity with large-format printers, vinyl cutters, or fabrication workflows
• Basic understanding of materials, finishes, and installation considerations
