As Daiichi, we are 24 years old in automotive electronics as a Tier-1 supplier for global OEMs specialized in hardware, software, and mechanical development of line fit infotainment systems: multimedia radios with connectivity, shark antenna, wireless/USB chargers, speakers, AVAS and other electronic modules. Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team, with a specialized focus on cockpit electronics like in-vehicle infotainment, instrument cluster, domain control unit, etc., applications.

As the Hardware Design Engineer, you will get the unique opportunity to member of a cross-functional engineering team developing technologies and innovative product solutions across the Automotive Cockpit Electronics Sector.

This position act active role for the hardware of assigned projects, through the hardware concept, hardware requirements, hardware design, and design verification phases.

Projects may include the development part of externally OEM-funded or internally funded research and development programs. For all assigned projects, the Hardware Design Engineer act active role for the defining of hardware scope, cost effective design, schedule, problem solution. The Hardware Design Engineer works closely with software, system, and mechanical teams within the organization and outside the organization also including, Project Management Office, Business Development, to plan and execute hardware design of product development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products and as well update existing products.
  • Analyze norms, standards, and technical specifications in terms of HW.
  • Develop HW architecture according to stakeholder requirements.
  • Create the HW development schedule.
  • Create schematic design according to HW architecture.
  • Make cost-oriented design.
  • Make cost reduction studies based on feedback from purchasing.
  • Research alternative HW parts, components.
  • Prepare the EMC test plan.
  • Create the HW Release package.
  • Test and debug digital & analog circuits.
  • Create thermal simulation inputs for mechanical team.
  • Monitor EMC tests, analyze root cause and study on solution/workaround.
  • Coordinate with software, mechanical and system teams during development phases.
  • Work with software teams on device bring-up and development.
  • Communicate with manufacturers and component distributers.


Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience at the area of Hardware Design Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) and/or Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • Experience on microcontroller-based design is must.
  • Experience on SoC based design is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience of designing multi-layered PCBs containing high-speed lanes and high-frequency components with sophisticated design techniques such as impedance matching, length matching, time matching and differential pairing.
  • Experience in analog and digital hardware design.
  • Experience with EDA design tools such as Altium Designer.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC topics.
  • Self-motivated, able to self-improve, keep on learning new and complex technologies.
  • Solid understanding of standard communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART/USART, USB.
  • Ability to work with global team.
  • Experience on BT, Wi-Fi, NFC, GNSS, Tuner, Audio DSP, Audio Amplifier, wireless charger, TFT, SER/DES is a plus.
  • Experience on Functional Safety (FuSa) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CAN Bus, LIN Bus, Automotive ethernet is a plus.
  • Knowledge on LPDDR4/4x, LPDDR5/5x, eMMC, UFS is a plus.
