Why does the job exist?
The Senior Healthcare Surveyor/Surveyor Reviewer Advanced will:
Review all surveyor reports and finding for licensed and certified healthcare facility surveys.
How does it get done?
The Senior Healthcare Surveyor/Surveyor Reviewer Advanced is responsible for:
Ensuring deficiencies and citations are written according to Federal guidelines, that the correct State and/or Federal regulations are cited;
Ensuring deficiencies and citations have the necessary supporting documentation and/ or evidence;
Providing training and guidance to healthcare surveyors on writing deficiencies both verbally and written.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Architecture, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Rehabilitation, and /or Criminal Justice and two (2) years directly related experience in community based healthcare services and case management. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Office setting, attending meetings, extensive computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
