Job Overview
CompleteOK is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Home Health Biller to help lead our medical billing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home health billing, including experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. This role requires extensive knowledge of medical coding, billing procedures, and healthcare reimbursement processes. As a key member of our team, you will ensure accurate billing, optimize revenue cycle management, maintain compliance with industry standards, and work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic home health environment.
Duties
- Review and accurately code medical records using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure proper reimbursement.
- Prepare and submit claims for home health services in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines.
- Analyze DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications to facilitate appropriate billing and reimbursement processes.
- Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and resolving billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, coding updates, and payer policies to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to verify documentation accuracy and completeness for billing purposes.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to streamline billing workflows and ensure data integrity.
Skills
- Extensive experience in home health billing, including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial payors
- Strong knowledge of home health billing regulations, including PDGM, OASIS-related billing components, and Medicare guidelines
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding as it relates to home health services and documentation requirements
- Experience with home health EMR/EHR systems and billing platforms
- Ability to interpret insurance benefits, authorizations, and eligibility for home health services
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management within a home health setting, including claims submission, follow-up, and denial management
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with clinical, intake, and administrative teams
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of home health billing experience
- Experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial plans
- Strong understanding of billing processes, compliance, and reimbursement guidelines
