Eram Talent is seeking a highly qualified Senior Horticulturist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading horticultural practices and providing expertise in the cultivation of various plant species. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or equivalent from a recognized and approved program.
- 10 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, agriculture, or equivalent, including at least 8 years in horticulture, gardening, plantations, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Direct research and experiments to identify land use problems, suitable plant varieties, techniques for nursery operations, and best methods for planting, spraying, cultivating, harvesting, storing, processing, or transporting agricultural/horticultural products, as well as pest/weed management.
- Provide guidance on planning and developing community projects, including the development of programs to achieve quality landscaping designs, effective implementation, and potential cost reduction.
- Provide guidance on training programs for staff personnel in the latest agricultural/horticultural technologies or methodologies, including plant insect/pest control.
- Study and analyze soil characteristics, and develop improved measurement techniques, soil conservation methods, soil sampling devices, or other relevant technologies.
- Design work programs for implementation by Gardening, Landscaping, and Nursery personnel.
- Review and advise on staff performance, preparing periodic reports for supervisory evaluation.
- Coordinate and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs to control horticultural and agricultural pests in all landscaped areas, including residences.
- Advisory and instructional responsibilities on plant pest control, including conducting surveys, sample collection, and study of plant pests and materials to enhance pest control efforts.
