Senior HR Business Partner, Office of Human Resources

Cairo, Egypt

Role Purpose: Supports the Senior Director of HR Business Partner as the main HR interface for

assigned areas, providing high-quality support to Area Heads. Manages and coordinates key HR functions - including recruitment, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and organizational planning—in alignment with University HR strategies and policies to ensure effective service delivery and improved departmental performance.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Workforce Planning and Recruitment: Manages the full recruitment cycle by proactively identifying staffing needs, designing sourcing strategies, screening and selecting candidates, and ensuring smooth onboarding in coordination with Staff Operations. Analyzes turnover and resignation trends to inform manpower planning and budgeting, while driving timely, compliant, and high-quality hiring and offboarding processes that align with organizational priorities.
  • Organizational Management: Maintains and updates the organizational structure and job profiles for all offices within Areas, ensuring alignment with area heads and consistency with HR profile standards.
  • Learning and Development: Follows up training plans and consolidates Individual Development Plans (IDPs), ensuring alignment with area-specific needs and coordinating with the Manager, Professional Development to support the overall learning and development strategies.
  • Compensation: Takes part in job assessment, reward plans, and compensation programs to ensure alignment with Total Rewards frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Performance Management: Manages the operational cycle of the annual performance appraisal process for assigned departments, ensuring timely consolidation of year-end data, accurate tracking of ratings, and full compliance with performance management timelines and HR policies.
  • Reporting and Support: Prepares and supports periodic progress reports on key operational areas—including recruitment, learning and development, compensation, staff affairs, and ongoing projects—providing updates on deliverables to ensure effective performance and high-quality service delivery.
  • General Support: Performs other essential duties as required.


Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional qualifications in Human Resources are required.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a multi-cultural environment with particular emphasis on Human Resources practices and applications.
  • Experience in an academic setting is an asset.


Technical Skills:

  • Data Literacy and Analytics: Ability to interpret HR metrics, analyze workforce data, and leverage insights for data-driven decision- making and reporting
  • Business Acumen: Good understanding of organizational operations, financial drivers, and strategic objectives, with the ability to align HR initiatives to business goals.
  • Digital Fluency: Competence in utilizing HRIS and other digital tools for efficiency and strategic insights.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication (written and verbal), active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities, with a strong commitment to building and sustaining relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Customer Service and Quality Focus: Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent service, with high standards for accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Effective team player who is flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing environment.
