JOB DESCRIPTION FOR HR EXECUTIVE

Job Title: Senior HR Executive
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager/ Director

Job Summary:

The HR Executive is responsible for supporting the HR department in various functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, training, performance management, and compliance. This role aims to enhance employee engagement and ensure the smooth execution of HR policies and procedures to foster a positive work environment and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and shortlisting candidates.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Conduct initial interviews and assist in evaluating candidate suitability for specific roles in sales, warehouse, operations, and other departments.
  • Manage onboarding processes, including preparing offer letters, employment contracts, and conducting new employee orientations.

2. Employee Onboarding & Training:

  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including setting up workstations, access cards, and introducing company policies.
  • Organize and conduct induction programs to familiarize new employees with the company culture, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating internal and external training sessions for skill development, product knowledge, and compliance.

3. Performance Management:

  • Assist in the implementation and management of performance appraisal systems.
  • Coordinate with department heads to gather employee performance data and feedback.
  • Help in identifying high-performing employees and support in designing employee recognition programs.
  • Monitor employee probation periods and follow up on performance evaluations.

4. Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Act as a point of contact for employees' queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, such as team-building events, wellness programs, and company outings.
  • Handle employee grievances, escalate issues when necessary, and support conflict resolution in collaboration with the HR Manager.
  • Conduct exit interviews, gather feedback, and provide insights for improving employee retention.

5. HR Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, attendance, leave, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulations related to employment and workplace safety.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports, such as headcount, turnover rates, and employee satisfaction surveys.
  • Manage the leave and attendance management system and assist in payroll preparation by providing necessary data.

6. Policy Development & Implementation:

  • Assist in the development and communication of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies across all departments.
  • Support in conducting audits and updating policies based on regulatory changes and industry standards.

7. Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Monitor health and safety compliance, including the implementation of workplace safety guidelines.
  • Assist in organizing safety training and awareness programs, particularly for employees in the warehouse and showroom environments.
  • Maintain records of incidents, health reports, and safety compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • MBA / MSW-HR
  • 5+ years of experience in HR roles.
  • Knowledge of HR software and tools (HRIS, ATS, payroll systems).
  • Understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and industry-specific compliance requirements.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR management software.

  • Experience in NATS/NAPS

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with standard office hours; may require occasional flexibility during recruitment drives or training sessions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
