Senior HR Manager

Big Bully Turf continues to grow, and we’re hiring an experienced, hands-on Senior HR Manager to lead our HR and People Operations function from the ground up, for our five territory states: CA, NV, TX, AZ and UT.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and compliance.
  • Create, implement, and help deliver onboarding training programs that prepare new hires for success and reinforce company culture.
  • Develop and implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) that drive accountability and professional growth.
  • Design and lead employee training programs for compliance, safety, and leadership development.
  • Partner with Finance to create and manage HR cost center budgets, forecasting payroll and benefits expenses.
  • Oversee workers’ compensation and employee safety compliance.
  • Maintain job descriptions, HR documentation, and company policies.
  • Partner with leadership to drive engagement, compliance, and HR best practices across multiple states.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of HR experience, including leadership or senior generalist roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance in Arizona, Texas, California, Utah and Nevada.
  • Proven ability to build and deliver onboarding and employee training programs.
  • Experience managing both W-2 and 1099 workforce structures.
  • Proficiency in Paychex or similar HR/payroll systems.
  • Experience developing training programs, PIPs, and cost center budgets.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and hands-on leadership style.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
