HSE Engineer- Roads & Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced HSE Engineer to manage and implement Health, Safety, and Environmental practices across large-scale Roads & Bridges infrastructure projects. The role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing risks, and promoting a strong safety culture across project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and plans
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, project requirements, and international standards
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and safety plans
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors on safety matters
• Deliver HSE training sessions, inductions, and toolbox talks
• Monitor safety performance and prepare HSE reports for management
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices on site
• Promote continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety
• 5–10 years of experience in HSE within Roads & Bridges / Infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
• Certification such as NEBOSH (IGC/Level 6), IOSH, or equivalent
• Experience handling large-scale infrastructure or civil construction projects
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
