Senior HSE Officer

A. Job Summary

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior HSE Officer, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of all workplace activities. Duties include conducting risk assessments, implementing safety measures, monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations, and leading safety training programs for employees.

Core Responsibilities:

• HSE Strategy Implementation: Ensure the effective application and execution of health and safety strategies across all worksites.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in UAE laws and regulations concerning health, safety, and environmental standards. Ensure the organization’s compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Training and Awareness: Plan and conduct regular training sessions for employees on worksite safety practices, ensuring that all staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge to work safely.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate HSE incidents and non-compliance events to identify root causes. Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and identify trends in safety data for continuous improvement.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential HSE hazards and recommend corrective actions. Work to minimize hazards by implementing adequate control measures.
• Accident and Incident Support: Assist the HSE Manager in investigating accidents or incidents to determine underlying causes and propose preventive actions to avoid similar occurrences in the future.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain and track HSE records and documents, including training certifications, investigation reports, and compliance documents. Ensure all records are up-to-date and meet regulatory standards.
• Client-Specific HSE Requirements: Prepare all necessary HSE documentation for new sites as per client requirements. Ensure that these documents are followed and updated regularly in line with any changes in the scope or requirements.
• Collaboration with Clients: Work closely with the health & safety representatives of Enerwhere clients to ensure the proper implementation of safety procedures and to address any concerns regarding HSE practices.
• Independent Work & Review: Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, regularly reviewing and evaluating your work to ensure objectives are consistently met.
• Team Collaboration: Foster strong teamwork across all levels of the organization, collaborating effectively with management and other stakeholders to ensure HSE goals are achieved.
• Proactive Approach: Take a proactive approach in coordinating complex tasks and activities, accepting professional responsibility for all safety-related matters within the scope of the role.

Skills and Requirements:

• Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills
• Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health experience
• NEBOSH certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in the renewable energy or related industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
