SR HR Generalist

Full-time, 40 hours per week position available, with flexible work hours.

Description of duties This role partners with leadership and provides direct support to the HR Director in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive human resources programs that enhance organizational success and employee engagement. Key responsibilities include talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, professional development, policy creation, employee leaves and records management. The position also fosters community connections and promotes a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role collaborates with executives, managers, and employees to develop solutions that align with organizational goals and drive long-term success.

Education & Experience Requirements

1. 4-year degree, or equivalent, relevant experience.

2. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional HR experience.

3. PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits package includes:

· Competitive wages, annual discretionary bonus. Pay Range $97,438 to $ $119,377.

· Medical, dental & vision benefits provided (100% employer paid premium for the employee, 75% employer paid premium for the dependents).

· Defined retirement contribution: SPIE provides an automatic 5% contribution PLUS SPIE offers UP to 5% matching contributions and 25% vesting each year, 100% vested after 4 years.

· Paid Time Off plan beginning at 31 days per year.

· Health savings accounts are partially funded by SPIE.

· Flexible spending accounts for dependent care and dental/vision expenses available.

· Employee life & disability insurance provided, dependent life insurance & Long Term Care insurance available through payroll deduction.

Location: Physical work location in Bellingham, WA. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
