Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Human Services Program Specialist to lead and coordinate community-based programs that support individuals with diverse needs. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in social work, public health, and medical terminology to develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives that promote well-being, independence, and quality of life. Duties
- Develop and oversee comprehensive human services programs tailored to meet community needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and policies
- Conduct assessments of individuals with disabilities or health challenges, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to identify needs and facilitate goal setting
- Provide education on topics such as nutrition, Medicare, addiction counseling, and medical terminology to clients and caregivers through workshops and one-on-one sessions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, educators, and community organizations to coordinate services and resources effectively
- Collect, analyze, and report data related to program outcomes to inform continuous improvement efforts
- Lead public speaking engagements and community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about available services and resources
- Train staff and volunteers in best practices for working with diverse populations, emphasizing sensitivity and cultural competence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, nursing, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities or in human services programs
- Strong knowledge of social work principles, addiction counseling methods, and public health strategies
- Excellent communication skills for public speaking, teaching, and motivational interviewing
- Familiarity with Medicare policies, medical terminology, and data collection tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or experience in nursing or nutrition is a plus; familiarity with working in healthcare settings is highly desirable

Pay: $58,904.67 - $70,938.95 per year
