Position Overview
The Senior Quality Control Engineer (HVAC) is responsible for supervising and ensuring the quality of HVAC installation activities at the site. The role focuses on ensuring that all works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications while maintaining proper site-level documentation and reporting to top management.
Key Responsibilities1. Installation Inspection
- Supervise and inspect HVAC installation activities, including:
- Duct fabrication and installation — alignment, sealing, supports, gauges, and fire dampers.
- Chilled water / GI piping works — routing, welding quality, pressure testing, and insulation.
- Equipment installation — AHUs, FCUs, VRF units, chillers, pumps, and exhaust fans.
- Ensure equipment installation is suitable for future servicing and maintenance access.
- Support systems and accessories — vibration isolators, flexible connectors, and thermal/acoustic insulation.
- Ensure all installations follow:
- Approved construction drawings and method statements
- Local HVAC standards and project specifications
- Check coordination of HVAC systems with other building services.
2. Testing & Commissioning Support
- Witness and verify pressure tests, duct leakage tests, and insulation quality checks.
- Support and record testing and commissioning for airflow and chilled water balancing.
- Confirm systems are ready and compliant before final commissioning.
3. Site Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain daily QC inspection reports, checklists, and inspection logs.
- Maintain site-level quality documentation for installation works.
- Record and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with corrective actions.
- Support preparation of handover documentation — test reports, as-built drawings, and site quality records.
- Provide regular updates to project and top management on inspection status and quality observations.
4. Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and clients for inspections and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, safety guidelines, and method statements.
- Guide and train junior QC staff on inspection techniques and site documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7–12 years of HVAC Quality Control experience (installation-focused, preferably in MEP contracting).
- Strong knowledge of local HVAC standards and quality procedures.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QA/QC documentation tools.

- Expertise in HVAC installation systems (ducting, chilled water piping, VRF, AHUs, FCUs, chillers).
- Ability to ensure installation quality suitable for long-term service and maintenance.
- Strong inspection, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.
- Capable of handling multiple inspections and deadlines efficiently.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹16,127.83 - ₹57,313.22 per month
