Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our team and lead the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. As a senior member of the team, you will play a vital role in troubleshooting complex HVAC systems, performing equipment repairs, and supporting property maintenance projects. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration units.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems as needed, including pipe repairs and installation of related equipment.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for mechanical repairs when necessary.
- Support field service operations by responding promptly to service calls, ensuring timely resolution of client issues across commercial or residential properties.
- Assist in the installation of new HVAC equipment while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all work performed to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration), including refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration units.
- Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair.
- Field service experience working on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and related mechanical components.
- Familiarity with the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred.
- Additional certifications or training in HVAC/R technology or related fields are highly desirable to excel in this role. Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
