Role Description:

As a Senior Integration Engineer and a member of a dynamic and multi-functional Agile development team, you will be responsible for crafting, developing, and testing product integrations with first- and third-party applications. To be successful in this role you need a real passion for quality software, a dedication to enable customer happiness through the creation of best of breed software, and you would have the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customers’ workflows and advise on Clinisys products and configurations to meet their needs.

  • Contribute to the development of the software product.

  • Develop interfaces to first- and third-party systems as part of Clinisys integration deployment.

  • Review third-party specifications and develop interfaces to match them.

  • Assist with documenting specifications for interfaces in client-facing materials and develop end-to-end test plans and execute them.

  • Engage with clients and third-party vendors on testing and certifying integrations where required.

  • Make recommendations based on customer feedback regarding software changes and enhancements.

  • Provide service support, including integration support, P1 escalation calls, and 4th line review.

  • Work under the guidance of the Domain Lead for Integration.

  • Keep abreast of ongoing and future integration-related regulations, working practices, products, and technologies.

  • Understand, comply with, and develop customer and Clinisys procedures, working practices, and directives in a timely manner.

  • Attend team meetings and agreed training courses.

  • Contribute to and support Clinisys team members and build knowledge base.

  • Form part of a collaborative review process for core Clinisys product changes, including:

    • Raising and assessing integration domain enhancements and defects for current products.

    • Reviewing appropriate specifications for current products.

    • Maintaining quality assurance during projects and early life support.

  • Participate in integration domain-related meetings to ensure external market awareness, continual professional development, and dissemination of new ideas and approaches.

  • Ability to work flexible hours based on project and task requirements.


  • Strong collaboration with stakeholders across US, UK, and Europe, requiring significant overlap with overseas teams.


  • Greater time zone alignment compared to other Software Engineer roles in India to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
  • Progress personal development.

  • Be responsive to reasonable requests from your line manager or project managers.

  • Any other duties commensurate with grade.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Rhapsody Professional Certificate as a minimum for Rhapsody experience.

  • Proven integration experience

  • Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) mapping

  • Experience within an IT or software providers organisation or implementation.

  • Strong motivational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High levels of commitment and ability to act when necessary.

  • Ability and willingness to work independently, and also as part of a project team.

  • Customer service skills.

  • Experience of the following technologies preferable:

    • JavaScript

    • Java

    • .Net

  • Coding systems experience

  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities listed above may be substituted.

  • HL7 knowledge – working with HL7 v2.3 – v.2.5, specifically ADT, ORU and ORM messages.

  • Networking skills – TCP/IP, Firewall knowledge and experience

  • FHIR Knowledge and interface implementation using APIs
