Senior Interface and Logistics Engineer

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, monitor, and resolve technical and operational interfaces between contractors, consultants, and client teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and coordination meetings to proactively address potential interface conflicts.
  • Maintain a comprehensive interface register and track resolution status.
  • Liaise with design, construction, operations, and HSE teams to ensure interface compliance and integration.
  • Develop and monitor logistics plans for materials, equipment, and site mobilization.
  • Ensure smooth delivery, storage, and handling of materials in accordance with project timelines and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to avoid bottlenecks or delays.
  • Track inventory and material flow across multiple project sites and storage yards.
  • Support project schedule integration for logistics activities and interface milestones.
  • Identify risks related to logistics and interfaces, and propose mitigation measures.
  • Assist the Project Controls team in tracking impacts of interface or logistics delays on the project schedule.
  • Prepare periodic interface and logistics reports for PMC management and the client.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements, site logistics, and interface correspondence.
  • Track action items arising from interface and logistics meetings and ensure timely closure.
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with site HSE standards and project safety requirements.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to quality standards during material handling and installation.
  • Liaise with multiple contractors, subcontractors, client representatives, and airport authorities.
  • Support conflict resolution and ensure smooth communication across all project parties.
  • Identify potential risks related to logistics and interfaces and support mitigation planning.
  • Contribute to project risk registers and maintain proactive monitoring of high-risk items.
  • Assist in final site handover, ensuring proper documentation of all logistics and interface activities.
  • Ensure lessons learned and best practices are documented for future projects.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 12+ years’ experience in interface and logistics engineering on large-scale infrastructure/airport projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PMC operations, contractor coordination, and airport construction logistics.
  • Proficiency in project management and logistics software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, SAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations and material handling safety practices.
