Summary
The Senior Design Manager – ID is responsible for creating innovative and functional
design solutions that enhance the aesthetic and usability of spaces.
The Role

Lead the selection and procurement of key interior designers and consultants to establish a solid design foundation for projects.

Drive the development of interior design concepts across master plans, individual buildings, and spaces, ensuring a cohesive vision throughout.

Collaborate with consultants and mentor the design team during the initial concept development phase, fostering innovative and effective design solutions.

Partner with the cost management team to ensure that interior designs are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with financial objectives.

Ensure all interior designs adhere to established guidelines and branding standards, maintaining project integrity and quality.

Oversee the timely procurement and approval of creative assets and visuals for interiors to support marketing and sales initiatives.

Coordinate design review meetings, prepare presentations for senior management, and manage feedback and revisions to secure necessary approvals.

Conduct regular follow-ups and audits with project teams on ongoing interior design projects,
addressing any issues that require resolution or approval.

Monitor and review key design deliverables to ensure alignment with the original vision and
compliance with approved guidelines.

Build and maintain a network of pre-qualified interior design consultants to enhance the team’s capabilities and project execution.

Assist in identifying potential construction risks related to interior design, helping to mitigate
challenges proactively.

Plan and manage the acquisition of necessary consents, permits, and regulatory applications to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Address outstanding design-related cases and issues, providing support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

Assist in resolving disputes related to design and quality issues throughout the development process.

Support the development team in keeping relevant authorities informed of overall project progress as required.

Aid the team in securing board approvals for initial and subsequent funding necessary for project completion.

Collaborate with the Design and Delivery team to ensure alignment with the company’s sustainable development goals.

Ensure the adherence to the company’s health and safety objectives throughout the lifecycle of the interior design projects.

Manage outstanding issues escalated by team members, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Competencies

Minimum Required Education Bachelor Degree in Architect / Engineering / Interior Design / Landscape or equivalent

Average Years of Experience: 8-10 Years of Design experience in a real estate development /
contractor company preferably in UAE.

Soft Skills: Communication and negotiation skills, target orientation, analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptable, flexibility, team player, IT skills

Technical Skills: Expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Strong understanding of current design standards and trends, in addition to design practices and constructability.
