Concept & Design Development
- Develop and present innovative design concepts and schemes that align with client briefs and business goals.
- Drive conceptual development through schematic design, material exploration, finishes, lighting, and detailing.
- Produce compelling visuals: sketches, renders, mood boards, BIM/CAD drawings, and presentation boards.
Design Delivery & Documentation
- Lead all phases of design: concept, schematic, detailed design, tender and site coordination.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), specification sheets, finishes schedules, FF&E lists.
- Oversee preparation of construction drawings, interior detailing, and shop drawings.
- Ensure all design documentation meets quality, regulatory and hospitality standards (F&B, operations).
Coordination & Implementation
- Liaise and coordinate with consultants (M&E, structural, plumbing, lighting, acoustics) and contractors.
- Oversee site execution and supervise site teams to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Monitor progress, anticipate issues, propose solutions, and maintain alignment with the original vision.
- Quality-check and sign off on finishes, installations, and fit-out work.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior designers and interns, providing guidance, design reviews and feedback.
- Ensure consistency of style, quality, and standards across multiple projects.
- Manage tasks, review work, and maintain high creative standards.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations, as well as hospitality / operational norms.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends, materials, and technologies relevant to hospitality interiors.
Software & Tools
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with 3D Studio Max and SketchUp is a plus
