Senior Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation and Needs Assessment: Understanding client goals,

preferences, and requirements for the project.

Design Planning and Conceptualisation: Sketching preliminary design plans,

creating floor plans, and developing 3D renderings.

Material Selection and Sourcing: Choosing appropriate materials, fixtures,

and furnishings based on design specifications and budget.

Project Management and Implementation: Overseeing construction,

coordinating with contractors, and ensuring adherence to design plans.

Budget Management and Cost Estimation: Providing cost estimates for

materials, labor, and other project expenses.

Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring designs comply with building codes,

accessibility standards, and other relevant regulations.

Bachelor's Degree:

A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field

is the most common path to becoming an interior designer.

Specific courses like interior design theory, drawing, and computer-aided

design (CAD) are crucial for developing the necessary skills.

Post-Secondary Education:

Some positions may be accessible with a certificate or diploma program, but

a bachelor's degree is generally preferred.
