Position Overview

AM Design Group is seeking a visionary Senior Interior Designer to lead the creation of refined, immersive environments across luxury hospitality, private clubs, and lifestyle destinations. This role is suited for a design leader who brings a sophisticated aesthetic sensibility, a deep understanding of materiality, and a passion for crafting memorable guest experiences.

The Senior Interior Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s design narrative, translating concepts into thoughtfully curated spaces that reflect each client’s identity while embodying timeless elegance and innovation. From initial concept through final installation, this individual will ensure every detail is executed to the highest standard of quality and design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept development through final installation
• Develop and present creative design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes
• Produce and oversee detailed construction documents, drawings, and specifications
• Manage client relationships, including presentations, communication, and approvals
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Conduct site visits to review progress and ensure design intent is maintained
• Source furniture, fixtures, accessories (FF&A), and custom design elements
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and innovations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field
• 8+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably in hospitality or high-end residential projects
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development through completed projects
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• In-depth knowledge of construction documentation, materials, and building codes
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and client management skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Ability to lead multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
• License or NCIDQ certification or working toward certification is a plus

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
• Proficiency in SketchUp or other 3D visualization tools
• Ability to review and coordinate consultant drawings and documentation
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows and documentation standards
