About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Interior Designer with 5+ years of experience who will be accountable for full design development throughout all phases of the interior design process. This role requires creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring that design solutions align with client goals and studio standards.
Key Responsibilities
Work alongside the Principal to prepare conceptual design, schematic design, interior architectural drawings, renderings, presentations, documents, and schedules.
Lead and manage all phases of the design process, including concept development, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Prepare and present design concepts, material selections, drawings, and specifications to clients and project teams.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors to coordinate design intent and execution.
Oversee sourcing and procurement and documentation of finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
Conduct site visits to monitor progress to ensure design quality and accuracy during construction.
Create furniture layouts in AutoCAD/Chief
Maintain strong client communication to ensure design solutions align with expectations, budgets, and project timelines.
Maintain weekly status reports and updates with the Principal and the design team.
Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovative solutions to projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (or related field).
5+ years of experience in residential/commercial interior design.
Demonstrated portfolio showcasing a wide range of design work.
Proficiency in (AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, Photoshop, etc.)
Creative thinker with a strong eye for sophisticated design
Strong knowledge of interior construction, codes, products, detailing, materials, and vendors.
Excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.
