Senior Interior Designer

Description:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Senior Interior Designer with strong interpersonal skills to join our Interior Design firm, LH Design Studio. This role is ideal for a design professional who thrives in a collaborative, client-facing environment and brings a refined eye for luxury residential design.

The ideal candidate is passionate about translating client goals into thoughtful, well-executed interiors—balancing creativity with technical expertise. They will play a key role in guiding clients through the design process, developing concepts, and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards.

Interior Designer Responsibilities:

• Lead client engagements by presenting and promoting our Interior Design services
• Guide clients through the design discovery process to understand their vision, goals, and lifestyle
• Develop and present compelling design concepts, including mood boards and visual presentations
• Conceptualize and produce design plans through sketches, renderings, and digital tools
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, vendors, and trade partners to ensure design intent is executed accurately
• Participate in and support client presentations with clear, persuasive communication
• Source materials, finishes, furnishings, and products aligned with project goals and budget
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with Project Managers to meet construction deadlines
• Oversee project progress and conduct site visits to ensure alignment with design specifications
• Maintain responsibility for project budgets, scheduling, and overall execution
• Execute all phases of design, including planning, documentation, FF&E selection, and specifications

Requirements:

• Leads with humility and a service-first attitude, with a strong desire to create genuine, lasting connections with clients and team members
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in luxury, high-end residential interior design
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-end residential projects
• Expertise in space planning, interior detailing, and custom design solutions
• Experience managing projects, including budgeting, estimating, purchasing, and tracking
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office
• Strong hand and/or digital sketching and rendering skills
• Familiarity with cabinetry and custom furniture design/detailing
• Familiarity with computational design tools is a plus
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and sell design concepts
