As a Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our hospitality portfolio through confident leadership and a forward-thinking approach. You bring exceptional design talent, a strong technical foundation, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Your communication style fosters open dialogue with both internal teams and external partners, and your presence inspires others to pursue excellence. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of what defines a luxury experience, you help translate vision into reality—elevating every project and mentoring those around you.

Business Development & Client Relations:

  • Attend client and internal meetings / Client Management.
  • Continued client man-agreement & maintaining relationships.
  • Conduct presentations.
  • Participates in project team interviews for pursuits.
  • Participate in industry and professional communities and value-added professional associations, maintain active membership (IIDA, ASID, NEWH, etc.).
  • Maintain and nurture existing Client and vendor Relationships.

Leadership

  • Provides leadership and mentorship to Interior Designers.

General Characteristics and Responsibilities

  • Conduct site investigations and observations.
  • Prepare narratives, design presentations, boards, drawing, and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, balancing project schedule and budget constraints.
  • Assignments will include programming, space planning, design of spaces and finishes, FF&E selection, documentation and bid evaluation, editing specifications, producing deliverable drawing sets for finish plans, interior elevations, room finish schedules, furniture plans, and interior details.
  • Perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates.
  • Performs construction administration.
  • Active contributor to marketing/business development activities.
  • Travel for project related activities relative to existing building assessments/investigations, client meetings, or construction jobsite observations may be required.
  • Technical ability / oversight – Overall Focus.
  • QA/QC responsibilities – Overall Focus.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from Accredited Program Interior Design and/or Architecture Program or equivalent experience required.
  • 12 +years of luxury design experience inclusive of Hotels, Resort, F&B and Spa.
  • Must have a natural eye for innovation and detail across various project types including Luxury resorts or hospitality developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of design or execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide critical design review to design teams, communicating design ideas and direction quickly.
  • Experience developing strategies and design ideas that speak to and push boundaries of the Luxury space.
  • Experience and ability to lead complex initiatives and to serve as the face of Global Design with executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations and build consensus on large initiatives.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Programs and 3-D model software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with design and drawing platforms.
  • Formal training on different topics.
  • Professional development with Junior and Senior colleagues.
  • Community involvement and participation in NEWH, IIDA or affiliated Interior Design organization is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DesignSpec & Revit a plus.


Salary range for this position varies between $105,000 – $155,000, depending upon applicable experience.
