Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Internal Auditor for a leading contracting company in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, financial compliance, and operational audits specifically within construction and contracting environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, transparency, and overall governance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute internal audit engagements across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Review and evaluate internal controls, business processes, and risk management frameworks.
• Perform audits related to project costing, procurement, subcontractor management, inventory, and site operations.
• Assess contract compliance, change orders, variations, and project budgets.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses; provide practical recommendations.
• Prepare audit reports with clear findings, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with management to follow up on audit recommendations and ensure timely implementation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, company policies, and international audit standards.
• Support external auditors by providing required data and clarifications.
• Conduct surprise audits at sites, warehouses, and procurement points when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• CA / ACCA / CPA qualified (mandatory or preferred depending on your requirement).
• Minimum 5–8 years of internal audit experience, with at least 3 years in a contracting or construction company.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, BOQs, subcontracting, procurement cycles, and site operations.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Power BI advantage).
• Strong communication and leadership ability.
