Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to join their investment team in Dubai. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in evaluating and executing strategic investments across power, water, and infrastructure assets within the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Planning

Conduct comprehensive market and sector analyses to identify growth opportunities across regional and international markets.

Develop and maintain detailed financial and valuation models to assess potential investments and business performance.

Support the preparation of strategic business plans, forecasts, and performance dashboards for senior management.

Evaluate project performance and recommend value creation strategies to enhance portfolio returns.
2. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Identify and screen potential acquisition and partnership opportunities aligned with the company’s investment strategy.

Lead financial due diligence, coordinating with advisors and internal teams to evaluate risks and synergies.

Perform detailed valuation analysis using DCF, comparable transactions, and precedent methods.

Support deal structuring and execution, including documentation, negotiations, and investment committee submissions.
3. Equity & Fundraising

Assist in equity raising initiatives, preparing investor presentations, term sheets, and investment memos.

Engage with existing and potential investors and financial institutions, providing analysis and project updates.

Contribute to capital structuring and funding strategy for new and existing assets.

Maintain a strong understanding of capital markets trends to support decision-making and investor relations.

IPO
& Capital Markets Support

Support initial public offering (IPO) preparations, including valuation, documentation, and process coordination.

Liaise with investment banks, legal advisors, and regulators to ensure compliance and timely execution.

Conduct benchmarking analysis against listed peers and market indices.

Prepare materials for management and board reviews, ensuring alignment with listing requirements and strategy.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree
in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CFA Level II/III preferred.

5–8 years’ experience
in investments, corporate finance, or M&A within utilities, power, water, or infrastructure sectors.

Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.

Prior GCC or emerging markets experience preferred.

Fluent in English; Arabic or Chinese language skills are advantageous.
