About the Role
Davis Technology Management, a fast-growing Technology Solutions Provider headquartered in DFW, is seeking a Level 3+ Senior IT Engineer to be our first hire in Phoenix, AZ. This is a critical early role that requires a seasoned MSP professional who can work independently, solve complex problems, and represent DavisTM locally.
You will start remote and transition to an office role as we build our Phoenix presence. You will serve as the senior-most technical resource in the market, working closely with remote teams and acting as the primary contact for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Function as the senior technical escalation point for Phoenix clients, handling the toughest tickets and project work.
Troubleshoot and configure complex network environments: LAN/WAN, firewalls, switching, wireless, VPN.
Manage and support Windows Server infrastructure: AD, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization, storage.
Lead client onboarding/offboarding, site deployments, and infrastructure upgrades following MSP best practices.
Oversee technology projects and provide “experienced eyes” on AV/Low Voltage work handled by third parties.
Collaborate with remote NOC/helpdesk teams, escalating appropriately and maintaining clear documentation.
Conduct client visits, perform proactive technology assessments, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
Mentor junior technicians as the Phoenix team grows.
Required Qualifications
5+ years in a Level 3+ or Senior Engineer role within an MSP.
Proven ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
Deep technical knowledge of networking, Windows Server environments, and Microsoft 365.
Strong project delivery experience (network refreshes, server migrations, tenant moves).
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and client communication skills.
High degree of self-direction — comfortable being the only local technical resource at times.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hospitality/restaurant technology environments.
Proficiency with PSA/RMM tools (ConnectWise, Kaseya, N-Able, etc.).
Industry certifications: CCNA, Network+, MCSA/MCSE, Azure Fundamentals.
Familiarity with AV/Low Voltage project oversight.
Why This Role Matters
This is a ground-floor opportunity in DavisTM’s Phoenix expansion. You’ll have significant influence over how we deliver service in this market, with a clear growth path into Market Lead / Regional Manager as we scale.
Compensation Range: $110K - $120K
