Senior IT Support Engineer (MSP) – Hybrid (Austin, TX)

TechProComp Managed IT is hiring a Senior IT Support Engineer to lead escalations, drive resolutions, and support projects for our business clients. This is a hands-on role for someone who can troubleshoot confidently, communicate clearly with users, and help the team improve processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

Resolve Tier 2–3 tickets (Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, systems, endpoint and security issues),
Handle escalations and help improve ticket quality (root cause, clean resolution notes, documentation),
Support and lead projects: onboarding/offboarding clients , migrations, upgrades, standardization,
Troubleshoot and manage: Hyper V, VMware, NAS, VPN, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi, VLANs, firewalls
Assist with security best practices: MFA, patching, least privilege, endpoint protection
Provide occasional on-site support for client issues and project work (Austin area)

Requirements

5+ years IT support / systems experience (MSP experience is must),

Strong knowledge of:

Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, Entra ID/Azure AD; Intune is a plus),
Strong knowledge with Windows 11 and Windows Server,
Strong knowledge with Networking (routing/switching basics, Wi-Fi, VPN),
Excellent customer communication and time management,
Ability to own issues end-to-end and work independently,

Preferred qualifications

Experience with RMM/PSA tools (NinjaOne or similar), IT documentation, and security tools (EDR/MDR, email security, ThreatLocker),
Azure fundamentals (identity, VMs, backup),
Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are a plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
