Job Summary
The Senior IT Technician is responsible for providing Level-1 technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. This role involves hands-on support for hardware, software, networking, CCTV, access control systems, and server room maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute structured network cabling activities.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Provide prompt response to IT service requests and technical issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems including user account setup and network configuration.
- Deliver Level-1 technical support to employees (onsite and remote).
- Set up and configure user accounts, systems, and workstations.
- Ensure security and proper functioning of computer systems and networks.
- Perform system updates, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
- Carry out CCTV system installation and maintenance.
- Install and maintain biometric and access control systems.
- Perform Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) installation and configuration.
- Maintain server room infrastructure including racks, cabling, power, and cooling.
- Maintain IT documentation and asset records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT support or technical roles.
- Strong knowledge of desktop support, networking basics, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV, access control, and Wi-Fi installations.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
