A well known Nonprofit Community Welfare organization JPSD is seeking committed, ethical, and detail-oriented finance professionals for the positions of Senior Accountant and Junior Accountant.
Senior Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and general ledger functions.
- Supervise bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Develop and maintain financial controls, accounting procedures, and compliance systems.
- Handle budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Maintain fund accounting, donor accounting, and grant accounting records where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and financial institutions.
- Review and authorize vouchers, payments, receipts, and supporting documentation.
- Support management in financial planning, reporting, and policy implementation.
- Assist in establishing transparent financial governance and accountability frameworks.
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- Qualified Accountants preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial controls.
- Experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
- Analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
Junior Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining books of accounts and accounting records.
- Process vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Support bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules.
- Maintain documentation and filing systems.
- Support taxation, audit, and compliance-related work.
- Assist in petty cash management and expense tracking.
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial documentation.
- Provide support in fund accounting and donor/grant record maintenance where required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Part-qualified preferred.
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
