Job Overview
As a Kitchen & Bath Designer, you will guide clients through the complete design and sales process for kitchen, bath, and whole-home remodels—from the initial consultation and measurements to design development, material selections, and seamless handoff to production. You’ll use your design expertise, technical skills, and relationship-building strengths to create beautiful, highly functional spaces while delivering an exceptional, white-glove client experience.
Successful candidates will have prior experience earning $80K+ through design and sales performance.
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, trustworthy, and dedicated team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-end remodeling environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in client meetings at the showroom, in clients’ homes, and on jobsites
- Conduct detailed site measurements and project assessments
- Develop conceptual layouts and final construction drawings for kitchens, baths, and full-home remodels
- Create 3D renderings and visual presentation materials to help clients clearly visualize their new space
- Guide clients through cabinetry, countertop, plumbing, lighting, hardware, and finish selections
- Prepare and present design proposals, including scope, budget, and timelines
- Participate in the sales process and close remodeling projects that are a strong fit for our services
- Manage and order cabinetry and key materials, ensuring accurate purchase orders and timely deliveries
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members on materials, schedules, and site logistics
- Maintain accurate project documentation in our client/project management software (Buildertrend/CRM)
- Support a smooth handoff to our production/field team and help resolve design-related questions during construction
- Participate in punch walks and final walk-throughs to ensure the design intent is fully realized
- Help maintain an organized, client-ready showroom and sample library
- Occasionally support marketing efforts (e.g., sharing project photos, participating in events, providing design content)
- Ability to mentor others and help elevate the team’s design accuracy and cabinet knowledge
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential remodeling, interior design, or kitchen & bath design (kitchens and baths strongly preferred)
- Strong interest in how design, construction, and functionality work together in real homes
- Proficiency with design and drafting software; 20/20 Design experience strongly preferred (we are willing to train the right candidate)
- Ability to read and create floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to listen, ask smart questions, and set clear expectations with clients
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to learn new systems, follow established processes, problem-solve, and take initiative
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude
- Keen sense of current design trends with the creative ability to provide a compelling vision for clients
- Comfortable participating in a consultative sales process and talking about budgets and investment levels
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
