Job Description

Sr. Lab Testing Engineer

Bangalore-India

You will perform Product Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility and Environmental testing; setup and maintenance of in-house test facilities; Maintain Calibration & Verification, writing work instructions and test reports; and ensure laboratory operates in accordance to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and environmental health and safety regulations.

You will report to the Manager, Mechanical Engineering and follow a hybrid working schedule in Bangalore, India.

Your Responsibilities:

• Solid experience on Product safety test like Temperature rise, Component breakdown, Overload & Endurance and Dielectric strength test.
• Laboratory setup and maintenance, including equipment verification and calibration, and ensuring laboratory practice complies with environmental health and safety regulations.
• Having experience on EMC and Environmental testing of industrial products following relevant standards and generating test reports and other technical records.
• Lead implementation for continuous improvements, corrective and preventive actions.
• productive individual contributor and a collaborative team player.
• Having experience on Thermocouple Welding, sticking and routing of cables in Safety testing.
• Having experience on Soldering, Welding, preparing setup following IO diagrams.
• Provide training for testing, equipment operations and Lab Safety.
• Experience working on Wiring harness or wiring in safety product testing.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• B.E./Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from reputed college with minimum 60% aggregate throughout education.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Safety, EMC & Environmental testing.
• Knowledge on SAP or equivalent ERP tool.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Have exposure to UL 508/ 61010-1, UL 121201 and IEC 60068-2-xx standards
• Good knowledge on ISO 17025, 14001 and 45001 requirements on Lab maintenance is added advantage.
• Understand and implement changes in standards, test instrumentation and test setups.
