Senior Lead Illustrator Children’s Books

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Lead Illustrator with expertise in children’s book illustration. The ideal candidate will bring stories and characters to life through expressive, engaging, and age-appropriate visuals while leading a team of illustrators. You will set the artistic direction for our children’s publications and ensure that the final artwork resonates with young readers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the illustration team, providing creative guidance and feedback.
• Illustrate children’s storybooks with captivating characters, imaginative environments, and engaging storytelling.
• Develop creative concepts, character designs, and scene compositions that align with storylines.
• Establish and maintain a consistent art style across projects.
• Collaborate with authors, editors, designers, and the production team to meet content goals.
• Review and refine team members’ work to ensure high quality and style alignment.
• Stay updated with trends in children’s illustration and apply innovative techniques.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a children’s book illustrator (portfolio required).
• Strong skills in character design, visual storytelling, and scene composition.
• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, or Clip Studio Paint.
• Ability to adapt to multiple children-friendly art styles (cartoon, whimsical, flat, hand-drawn, etc.).
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a creative team is preferred.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in educational illustrations or early learning content.
• Familiarity with digital publishing formats.
• Basic animation or motion graphics skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs130,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
