About Us:
AJ Property Management is a fast-growing, locally owned property management company with a diverse portfolio of over 450 rental units in the Sioux Falls area. Our portfolio includes single-family homes (25%), small multifamily properties (25%), and mid-sized apartment communities (50%). Over the past two years, our team has doubled in size, and we’re continuing to expand rapidly.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team of five that works collaboratively every day to deliver excellent service to our property owners and residents. We pride ourselves on open communication, teamwork, and our shared mission—to become the best property management company in Sioux Falls.

Our leadership is hands-on and involved—it’s not uncommon to see our owners helping with an emergency maintenance request, handle a weekend showing, or jump in wherever needed to support the team.

As our Leasing Agent, you’ll work directly with our Founder and Managing Partner, Gage Klein, to onboard the Average 2–3 new clients we add each week and help lease their vacant properties. You’ll receive direct mentorship, guidance, and training to help you grow into leadership as our company continues to expand.

This position has a clear advancement path:
Leasing Agent → Senior Leasing Agent → Leasing Manager .

Responsibilities

• Advertise available units on platforms such as Facebook, Zillow, Apartments.com, and others.
• Respond promptly and professionally to tenant inquiries and showing requests.
• Conduct property showings and guide applicants through the leasing process.
• Process rental applications and coordinate with the property management team.
• Assist in onboarding new client properties and preparing them for lease-up.
• Maintain accurate leasing records and communicate effectively with the team.
• Represent AJ Property Management professionally in all tenant and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in real estate, leasing, or a sales-related role required.
• Outgoing, personable, and professional demeanor — you’ll be a face of our team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using online listing platforms (Facebook Marketplace, Zillow, etc.).
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Interest in real estate and long-term career growth within the industry.

Compensation & Benefits

• $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience.
• Quarterly performance bonuses ranging from $500–$2,500 per quarter.
• 2 weeks of PTO per year.
