This is a senior, operational, and commercially focused role that acts as the primary legal backbone for the organization's non-investment departments.

The Role

The core mission is to manage the volume of legal paperwork and risk associated with running a large, global financial institution. The successful candidate will spend most of their time working with internal corporate teams (like IT, HR, and Procurement) to draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of operational contracts to keep the business running smoothly.

Key Focus Areas

• Contracting : You will own the entire contracting workflow, writing and negotiating many types of agreements, from basic vendor contracts and NDAs to complex outsourcing and technology licensing deals.
• Internal Legal Advisor : You are the go-to expert for internal corporate teams, providing quick, practical, and "business-ready" advice on issues ranging from employment law to data protection and IP.
• Risk & Compliance : You must proactively identify, manage, and prevent legal risks for the organization. This includes ensuring all operations globally comply with changing laws and advising senior management on regulatory updates.
• External Negotiator: You will be the organization's face in negotiating with external parties, including service providers, vendors, and even public regulatory authorities.

Candidate Must-Haves

• Experience: Approximately 4–6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a similar role, ideally gained at a major law firm or a large financial institution.
• Skill Set: Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and an ability to work independently on complex, cross-functional matters.
• Experience in corporate and commercial contracting and operational legal support.
• Mindset: A pragmatic, solution-oriented approach that translates legal complexity into clear, actionable business advice for senior leaders.
• Must be Arabic speaker!
