Senior Tax Legal - Disputes Consultant

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Consultant/Expert with extensive expertise in tax law to join our Legal Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing defense memoranda for tax-related cases and possess in-depth knowledge of litigation procedures and court practices.

Over 20 years in legal practice with a strong background in tax law and disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive defense memoranda for tax litigation cases, ensuring all legal arguments are thoroughly researched and effectively presented.

• Provide expert legal advice on complex tax matters to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Represent the Tax Authority in court proceedings, effectively advocating on behalf of the organization.

• Conduct detailed legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on evolving tax laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement legal strategies that align with the Tax Authority’s objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in law is preferable.
• Bachelor’s degree in law; advanced degrees or certifications in Tax Law are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 20 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to tax law and litigation in tax Authority or a government / public sector in GCC region preferably.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing defense memoranda and managing tax litigation cases.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and statutes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Arabic Language is a must, Fluency in English language is advantageous.
