The candidate will provide operational and legal support to the legal division of a global engineering professional services company, with a primary focus on reviewing and negotiating construction industry contracts.
The candidate must be organised, display excellent written/communication skills and have the ability to apply independent judgment.
Should have a law degree and 5+ years relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably working with multinational construction industry

Responsible for reviewing a full range of contracts and associated documents.

Providing clear and concise feedback on contract risks and conduct follow up calls with colleagues to discuss, where required in a timely manner.

Proactively managing and leading negotiations.

Establishing and maintaining good professional relationships with the business, as well as with external parties such as clients and their legal counsel.

Maintain appropriate awareness of the legislative and regulatory environment relating to key aspects of WSP’s current operations companies.
Qualifications

Qualified lawyer with 5+ years legal experience developed by working in a reputable law firm or in an in-house legal team specialising in construction law.

Proficient in English (oral and written).

Experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements.

Highly developed communication skills.
